It meets or exceeds the requirements of OSHA 1910.24 and 1910.26, as well as the ANSI A137.1/A326.3 (Dry & Wet) Dynamic Coefficient of Friction Test and the AS/NZS 4586 Pendulum Test (Dry & Wet).

Proper preparation and installation are crucial for the effective performance of Gator Grip. The surface to which the tape is being applied must be thoroughly cleaned to remove any dirt, dust, grease, or oil. A 50/50 solution of alcohol and water is typically sufficient for this cleaning process, with the wiper or cloth being changed frequently (a white cloth is recommended). In cases of heavy accumulation, more aggressive cleaning techniques may be necessary.

Temperature is a critical factor in the adhesive bonding process and should not be overlooked. All INCOM tape products, including Gator Grip, are designed to be applied at temperatures of at least 50°F (10°C). Ideally, the application should be carried out at room temperature, as this will result in the best bonding.

Adequate pressure is also essential for the proper adhesion of the tape. It is recommended to apply a pressure of at least 15 psi to ensure that the adhesive "wets out" effectively, leading to stronger bonding.

The adhesive bond will continue to strengthen over time, with full bond strength being reached within 72 hours at a temperature of 70°F. The colder the ambient temperature, the slower the bonding process will be.
